BANKS JOURNAL STUDIO: KRISTIN TEXEIRA

This season we have teamed up with Brooklyn based artist Kristin Texeira. She paints to capture, document, and preserve memories. She translates the essence of moments through color by mixing up the poetics of people and places.

Kristin Texeira creates abstract works inspired by her interactions with people and place. Her use of color is channeled from her sensitivity to memory. She often creates "memory maps" that retell of a specific moment in time. She currently lives and works out of her studio in Brooklyn, New York.
