ANNOUNCING A CURATED COLLECTION BY OLIVER & BANKS JOURNAL
Everyday Aloha! We recently joined forces with Oliver, our favorite Hawaiian boutique. Like Banks Journal, Oliver offers stylish classic coastal style. The curated collection brings you a combination of classic Hawaiian aloha vibes mixed with an edge of utilitarian fabrics and silhouettes.
Banks Journal wanted to highlight the culture and look of classic Hawaii with this collection. The signature print is awash in palm trees and tropical plants, available in a woven shirt, bucket hat, and scallop-legged boardshort. Other nods to Hawaii include the military-inspired jacket and pants, as well as a nod to Hawaii's favorite motif, the rainbow. The indigo palette of the signature print honors Hawaii’s long connection to the Japan and their indigo dyeing tradition.
The authenticity paramount to Banks Journal’s style is evident in the collection’s special font. Parker Moosman from Oliver spray painted words, which became the source for the digital images. While a digital-first image might have been faster, the tactile quality of the text is well worth the effort.
The curated collection can be worn together, creating a seamless look. Given the clean lines and precise tailoring, the pieces can be a perfect ensemble with any Banks Journal gear.
Made in limited quantities, this curated collection brings a dose of Hawaii to your everyday wardrobe.
